Introduction & Company Overview
TruffleCart.com (“TruffleCart”, “we”, “us” or “Company”) welcomes you. TruffleCart is a California-based purveyor of luxury gourmet ingredients, specializing in fresh truffles, wild-foraged mushrooms, and other perishable culinary delicacies. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services, and the purchase of any products from us. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We encourage you to read them carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.
We take pride in delivering the finest quality truffles and gourmet foods to our customers. Our language and service reflect the high-end hospitality values of fine dining and luxury grocers. Your satisfaction and safety are our top priorities, and we strive to provide an exceptional experience worthy of the world’s most discerning chefs and connoisseurs.
Nature of Products & Quality Assurance
TruffleCart offers wild-harvested, fresh, and perishable products. Due to their natural origin, items such as truffles and wild mushrooms may vary in size, shape, color, and aroma. Each truffle is unique – natural variations and imperfections are part of what makes these wild delicacies special. We guarantee that all products are of premium quality, sourced fresh and handled with the utmost care from forest to table.
Please note that product images on our website are for reference only. Actual products may vary in appearance and aroma due to seasonal and individual differences. Additionally, fresh truffles are living fungi that continue to ripen after harvest, gradually losing moisture, weight, and aroma over time. This natural process of slight dehydration and fragrance mellowing is expected and not a defect. We recommend using your fresh truffles soon after delivery to enjoy them at peak freshness.
FDA/USDA Food Safety & Cold Chain Compliance
TruffleCart adheres to strict food safety standards as set forth by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). We maintain a continuous cold chain for all perishable products.
Because we prioritize safety and quality, perishable food items cannot be returned or restocked once they have left our control. In line with food safety and hygiene regulations, we do not accept returns or exchanges on fresh truffles, wild mushrooms, or other perishable goods.
Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss
Orders are shipped via expedited service (generally overnight) to maintain freshness. When your package is shipped, you will receive a tracking number.
Title to products and risk of loss transfers to you once we hand off your order to the shipping carrier. TruffleCart is not liable for loss, theft, or damage after this point.
Perishability & Shelf Life
Fresh truffles and wild mushrooms are highly perishable and should be consumed within a short timeframe. Proper storage is required upon delivery.
Returns & Refund Policy
All sales of perishable products are final. No returns or refunds are accepted except in rare cases where a product arrives in unacceptable condition.
Payment, Chargebacks & Order Disputes
By placing an order, you authorize payment and agree to contact us first to resolve disputes before initiating chargebacks.
