Summer truffle inoculum for growers

Prepare for the growing season with freeze-dried summer truffle material for nursery inoculum preparation and plantation spore applications. The 100 g net format makes it straightforward to order the amount of dried truffle material your program requires.

Each pack contains 100 g of actual freeze-dried truffle. This is the net dried weight you receive, not a fresh-truffle equivalent.

What you are buying

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) Tuber aestivum truffle material containing its naturally occurring spores. It is a truffle-based raw material for cultivation work, rather than an isolated-spore preparation or a ready-mixed planting substrate. No spore count or application rate is specified.

Two testing options

  • DNA-tested — $699.00 per 100 g: supplied from DNA-tested stock, with the corresponding lot's species-identification report available on request.
  • Conventional — not DNA-tested — $594.15 per 100 g: 15% below the DNA-tested option. We stand behind our identification of the named truffle, but this option has not been DNA-tested and does not include a laboratory report. If you want molecular confirmation, you can arrange independent DNA testing at your own expense before use.

Match the truffle to your plantation

Summer and Burgundy truffles belong to the same species, Tuber aestivum, although they are sold under different commercial names. This listing is our summer-truffle selection; DNA identification alone does not distinguish summer and Burgundy forms.

Nursery preparation and spring orchard work

Use within a nursery inoculation or orchard spore-application program designed for your target truffle. Spring soil warming is a common planning window for orchard work, but timing, preparation and quantity depend on local conditions, tree age and your cultivation method. Follow your nursery specialist's or agronomist's protocol rather than treating one pack as a fixed number of trees.

DNA testing addresses species identity in the tested sample. It does not measure spore viability, confirm root colonization or guarantee future truffle production.

Ordering and handling

Choose your testing option above. One unit is one 100 g net pack; order multiple units for larger programs. Follow the storage and handling directions supplied with your lot. Contact Truffle Cart for lot documentation and bulk quantities.
